KANSAS CITY (February 9, 2021) – Kansas City NWSL defender Rachel Corsie has been named to Scotland’s roster for the final UEFA Euro Women’s 2022 qualifiers to be held in Cyprus Feb. 19-23. Corsie is the fourth Kansas City player called to national team duty this month; Diana Matheson and Desiree Scott (Canada) and Mariana Larroquette (Argentina) were all invited to wear their nations' colors at the SheBelieves Cup in Orlando, Florida, Feb. 18-24.

Corsie has been a mainstay for Scotland since making her debut against France in the 2009 Cyprus Women’s Cup. Named the team captain in 2017, she has 120 appearances for her national team. From her position as defender, Corsie played every minute of Scotland’s three games in the 2019 World Cup.

Scotland faces off against Cyprus on Feb. 19 and Portugal on Feb. 23. Both games will be closed to spectators. Corsie is expected to join Kansas City NWSL at the team’s warm-weather training in Florida following her national team commitment.
